 n\nDorkbotPDX is a laid-back meetup and show-and-tell for those who make\,
  modify and use technical tools to weird and imaginative ends. You might r
 un into creative coders\, electronic artists\, circuit designers\, retro c
 omputing archaeologists\, video game devs\, modular synth gearheads and cy
 berpunk DIYers.\n\nBring your electronic wonders\, monsters\, and works-in
 -progress to show off\, or come see what others have been working on! Code
  or circuits\, electronic creativity of all sorts is welcome here.\n\nMost
  of Dorkbot is a freewheeling hangout\, but each month we feature a short 
 talk about a cool project or teaching some esoteric wizardry.\n\nThis mont
 h is Justin Miller\, sharing:\n\n"ATTiny is a line of 8-bit AVR microcontr
 ollers by Atmel. They are bare chips in a variety of form factors\, but we
 'll consider the 8-pin DIP\, which is ideal for breadboarding. We'll go ov
 er what they can do\, but more importantly\, how and why you might get sta
 rted with them coming from\, say\, an Arduino\, Teensy\, or other dev boar
 d background\, and we'll learn how to program chips directly. We'll go ove
 r using a second Arduino dev board as a programmer for the chip\, as well 
 as an example of a dedicated hardware programmer\, I'll show off a project
  I made\, as well as some of my favorite resources and external projects."
 \n\nTable space with power will be available for project show-and-tell\; w
 e have a table for drinks and snacks\, feel free to contribute to the comm
 unal cache/BYOB.\n\nWe do this every month\, usually on the second Monday 
 night (check the site for upcoming dates to be sure)\n\nNote: We may be fa
 mous for the free parts cart…but the pile has gotten unruly\, so we’re
  not accepting new stuff. If you have things to give away\, check the Disc
 ord offer/ask channel to see if anyone would like to claim them. Feel free
